Cancer Challenge - Day 1

Today is the Day!!!
Get those hooks out, give them a good cleaning and start the challenge.

Today I am offering a free pattern from my shop, Sweet Potato 3 Pattern
I designed this hat specifically for the Cancer Challenge, it is a simple hat that works up quick, but also has a fun stitch pattern to give it a different look. You can make the hat with or without the flap and then there is the option to add any embellishment.

Remember, if you download this pattern you are pledging to make a minimum of one hat from this pattern to donate to a cancer patient.
The pattern includes sizes from newborn up to adult.

The Cancer Charity Challenge Hat for 2015 will be FREE through the end of 2015.

Please visit Sweet Potato 3 Patterns on facebook and share pictures of your finished hats.
favorite Sweet Potato 3 Patterns Ravelry shop as well and take a peak while your there.

Make sure to check in daily through October for more patterns to complete your challenge.

  10. I am a very new crocheter so my donations may be slow in coming but I'm determined to do it. My aunt is currently battling a recurrence of breast cancer and I want to make her a couple of hats. Thank you for the free patterns. This way I can let her pick out what she likes.

  13. I'm in Australia so our winter has just ended. I also have a 5 month old daughter so my crocheting time is scarce. In memory of my grandfather 'Mac' I pledge to make at least 1 of each hat downloaded and donate in time for the cooler Autumn weather. Which I just realised will see me continue the work of my nanna who was involved with and crocheted items for The Red Cross. Thank you for providing me with an opportunity to 'connect' with my late grandparents in this way. Any suggestions for yarn substitutions to make summer appropriate hats would be appreciated x
