It was a quiet morning, when I realized it was a bit too quiet for my household. So I went in search of what the silence was about. That is when I discovered the little boy who discovered the sticker stash!
Some days I need these reminders to stop and enjoy the simple things in life. Take the time to rediscover the wonders of those little minds. As I sat down to join him his face lit up with joy and pride of his accomplishment. He quickly expressed, "Mommy, I think I can use all the stickers on just one hand!" It took him a while, but he was determined. As he peeled each sticker off, all by himself he learned to not give up, even when it took 3 minutes to get one of those stickers off the paper and placed in the perfect spot of him hand!
Although this was his highlight of the day, and I admit one of mine too, I found stickers all over the house for the rest of the day! Each time I discovered one I smiled a bit inside to as I scrapped it off the wall, the kitchen table, and the mirror in the bathroom. Simple pleasures come from simple things each and every day!
