Run....Goose Attack!

With my youngest child being 18 months I decided to get back in shape and start running again. I even signed up to be on a team for Sawtooth relay in June. In preparation, I am trying really hard to run at least 4 times a week. As I set out this morning, little did I know what was coming!

I was running along a canal bank so I could avoid the traffic on the roads. When I realized there were a couple of geese up ahead. I didn't think too much of it and just figured they would fly away-like usual. Only today they didn't! When I got about 15 feet away one of the geese started to quickly approach me. As it got closer I started to really get nervous. Pretty soon there was a goose pretty much right on top of me with its wings flapping in my face. I am sure I screammed like a baby, covered my head and ran at top speed! Let me tell you, I got a great cardio workout! My heart was beating like crazy.

This is a treasury made in honor of that goose!

Only now (24 hours later) can I look back and laugh! I kind of wish I could witness the whole thing as a bystander. I am sure it would have made me chuckle!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

  3. You are gorgeous too my friend! And I had a run in like that when I was little and I am still to this day terrified of Geese! Thanks for bringing back such horrible memories! I must now go lay down...:)
